The Vision

Before she built a law firm, Miriah A. Soliz had already learned what it meant to chart her own course.

The first attorney in her family and only the second to graduate from college, her journey took her from Houston to law school, to Harvard, and halfway around the world to the Supreme Court of India.

But it was in the courtroom where her ambition would be tested.

During her first year of practicing law, Miriah represented a customer who suffered a devastating injury involving a vehicle lift at an automotive repair shop.

Behind that verdict was more than a remarkable result. There was a life permanently changed, a story that deserved to be heard, and an experience that would shape the way Miriah approached personal injury litigation.

It reinforced a belief that would eventually become the foundation of her firm: the smallest details can make the greatest difference.

Built for More

Years later, Miriah founded Soliz Law Firm in Houston, bringing with her the experience, determination, and attention to detail that had shaped her career in the courtroom.

From the beginning, she envisioned more than a practice built around one attorney. She wanted to create a firm where the standards she held herself to would be shared by the people working alongside her.

Over time, that vision has taken shape. Under Miriah’s leadership, Soliz Law Firm has grown into a team of personal injury attorneys and legal professionals who share her approach to preparation and her belief that every case deserves to be understood in its entirety.

Together, they have taken on complex cases involving catastrophic injuries and wrongful death, securing significant results that include a $15.5 million chemical exposure settlement, a $5.5 million wrongful death settlement, and other multimillion-dollar recoveries.

Today, the firm bears her name, but its strength lies in the standards she established and the people she has brought together to uphold them.

Recognition Followed

Miriah’s work has earned recognition throughout the legal profession. Recognized by Texas Super Lawyers annually since 2020 and named among Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch, she has also received the Legacy of Courage Award from Thurgood Marshall School of Law and the Rising Star Award from the Houston Trial Lawyers Association.

In 2024, Soliz Law Firm was named Houston Chronicle’s No. 1 Best Personal Injury Law Firm in its Best of the Best awards.

Her involvement in the legal community extends beyond her own cases. She serves on the Executive Board of the Houston Trial Lawyers Association and has been invited to speak at continuing legal education programs across Texas, including those presented by the Texas Trial Lawyers Association. Her work and legal insight have also been featured in national and local media.

Today, from its headquarters in Northwest Houston, Soliz Law Firm represents individuals and families facing the consequences of catastrophic injuries and wrongful death.
